Saturday the 11th - Coves at Saguaro Lake

Some friends and I will be heading over to the coves at Saguaro Lake Saturday. We are thinking about meeting up at Butcher Jones around noon. We are talking aboout going over to the 3rd or 4th cove. The plan is to do some wheeling, swimming, bbq, relaxing. I have a HUGE inflatable island that is 12 ft wide, 3 ft tall - one half is a platform the other half has a mesh bottom so you can sit in the water without floating away.

Let me know if anyone you're interested. Our departure time is totally flexable.

Now that sounds like a good time, but I'm going up to the rim on Sat. If things change for you, you're more then welcome to come a long.

We head out there and do this all the time. I'll start posting up every time we go out there. We'll probably be going next weekend too because my friend wants to take his boat out there. So we'll probably head to the 4th cove and he'll pick us up from there. Do some wakeboarding, tubing, knee-boarding.... all kinds of fun stuff

Have a great time up in the cooler temps on Rim Road!

Sounds like fun.  Lets see... my truck is out of commission atm, I'm broke (well unemployed), and that is my drill weekend anyway Sad

I'd would like to try and go sometime this summer, even a weekday... keep us posted on future trips!

A few friends and I went out to the coves at Saguaro Lake yesterday and had a blast. There was hardly anyone out there - must have been the heat with it being around 110. We went out the 3rd then 4th cove then back to the 1st to hang out since there wasn't anyone there. We filled up the huge 12' wide Oasis Island, set up the canopy and just hung out, did a little bit of wheelin, but mostly relaxed.

What are the chances of doing this on a weekday?

I pretty much work M-F, 9ish to 6ish but I'd be willing to take a day off to head out there if we could get a crew together. The company I work for is pretty awesome when it comes to working from home. I could tell them I'm gonna work from home in the evening and I wouldn't have to use a vacation day.

Next weekend I believe my friends and I are going to hit up Salt River Tubing on Saturday if anyone is up for that - let me know!
