     Scott,

Here is the write up on the fix for your sway bar moving. Check it out and see if this helps. You can also ask Craig as I'm sure with his knowledge that he can help as well. Big Smile

I second the suggestion of this as the fix, I need to do it to my Rubi soon as well.

Yeah - I ordered 4 of them myself. Figured that I'd have 2 as back up for the trail or if anyone else needs them then I'd have them.

Here is another idea that you might want to consider for your QD's while you are messing with the sway bar:

Re: Jeep Sway Bar shifting over fix

     JD,

I appreciate the offer, unfortunately I ordered two when the link was posted.  Jeep warrantied the Hood latch so don't worry about that .  It's there crappy design, just be careful with yours, if they get the smallest nick in the rubber, it will eventually break.  I think I am going to smooth the area on the hood catch to ensure that it doesn't get nicked anymore.  One side is $62 at the stealer and of course they are the only ones that carry them in town.  Of course they can be ordered on-line, but that doesn't help when you need it now.  Thanks again anyway.

Alright - I received my shaft collars from McMaster-Carr today and will be installing them on my sway bar tonight. I figure that a little bit of Loctite on the threads and I will be good to go. I have an extra set if anyone is interested, and if not then I will keep them as extras in my trail bag.

Re: Jeep Sway Bar shifting over fix

     JD,

I received my collars and wouldn't you know, I can't install them until I trim the corners of my bumper, which has an integrated winch plate.  The corners are too close to the sway bar to allow them to be installed.  This kinda sucks, because it means I have to completely remove my winch to get to the corner to trim them off the bumper.  If it isn't one thing, it's another.
